The following is an approximate description of the format and content of this assessment. It is subject to change without notice.

No calc:

·         5 Always, Sometimes, Never

·         Write the Pythagorean Triples

·         4 or 5 Find the exact values of trig functions from the 30-60-90 & 45-45-90 triangles.

·         Less than 5 simple word problems (eg, Find the length of the diagonal of a square with 3 cm sides.)

·         15 Reduced triangle principle and special families

Calculator part:

·         4-5 find the exact answer (if possible). Round to nearest tenth only when necessary.

o    Find missing angle, given 2 lengths of triangle

o    Find missing side, given an angle and side length, or 2 lengths.

·         2-3 word problems, angles of elevation and depression, such as ladders or boats.
